KPop Demon Hunters How Its Done: contents, prices and what it was worth

A Secret Lair drop released December 2026, 7 cards in 2 versions. What it cost, what the cards are worth today, and how that compares to buying them plainly.

What is in KPop Demon Hunters How Its Done, and what it is worth

The cards in KPop Demon Hunters How Its Done (the non-foil edition) are worth $39.75 today at TCGplayer market prices. 6 of the 7 copies in the non-foil edition have no market price yet and count as nothing in that total. It is a floor, not a valuation — the real figure is higher.

Foil: singles worth $39.75 today. 6 of the 7 copies in the foil edition have no market price yet and count as nothing in that total, and no foil prices are listed for this card yet, so every copy is counted at its non-foil price. It is a floor, not a valuation — the real figure is higher.

This drop goes on sale 2026-12-14, and these card prices are from 2026-10-18, before it. Preorder prices for Secret Lair cards usually fall once copies ship, so comparing them with the release price would overstate the return, and no verdict is published yet. It appears on its own once prices are 14 days past the release date.

What is unusual about this drop

The most valuable priced card here is Swan Song at $39.75. Only 1 of this drop’s 7 cards have a market price, so there is no honest way to say what share of the total that is — the percentage would measure the gaps rather than the spread.

The Secret Lair printings in this drop carry a 3.70× treatment premium — that is what they are worth against $10.73 for the cheapest ordinary printing of the same card. It is measured over the cards that have prices on both sides, so it is a like-for-like ratio even where the totals above are not.

What the same cards cost without the art

The 1 priced card in this drop can be bought in their cheapest ordinary printings for about $10.73, against $39.75 for the Secret Lair versions. That difference is what you are paying for the treatment — the gameplay is identical, and every card here is legal in exactly the same formats either way.

How these numbers are worked out

The release price is what Wizards of the Coast charged for the drop when it was on sale. The singles total is the sum of TCGplayer market prices for the exact printings the drop shipped — not for ordinary copies of the same cards, which is a different and usually much smaller number, shown above as the plain-copy comparison. The multiple is one divided by the other.

Two things it deliberately does not do. It does not price sealed copies: once a drop leaves the store its sealed price is set by the secondary market, and that is a different question from whether buying it at release paid off. And it does not adjust for inflation — the multiple is nominal, so a return earned over six years is not directly comparable to the same figure earned over one.

Card prices refresh weekly and this page is rewritten only when its numbers actually move, so the date above is the real one rather than today’s.
