How far ahead this calendar can see

A set appears here once Scryfall, the card database this site reads, gives it a set code and a release date. That comes later than Wizards of the Coast’s first announcement of a set, so this is the confirmed schedule, not every set that has been announced: a set Wizards has named but not yet coded is missing until its code appears. Today the furthest-ahead date on the calendar is 9 April 2027. A set with a code but no cards revealed yet is listed with “None yet”.

FAQ

How far ahead does this release calendar go?

As far as Scryfall’s own set list goes. A set appears here once it has been given a set code and a release date, which happens weeks or months before it comes out. The furthest-ahead date in the table above is the edge of what is confirmed today.

Why is a set Wizards of the Coast has announced not listed?

Because it has no set code yet. Wizards announces sets well before they are given one, and this calendar only lists sets with a code and a date, so it never guesses at a release date. An announced set joins the table on the night its code appears.

Can I see the cards of a set before it comes out?

The ones revealed so far, yes. Each set’s card count links to this site’s card search filtered to that set, and the count grows as cards are previewed. Commander-eligible cards from upcoming sets also have their own page, with rules text and preorder prices.

What does the card count mean for a set that is not out yet?

It is the number of cards revealed so far, not the size of the finished set. A set with no cards revealed reads “None yet” rather than zero, and its count climbs through preview season until the full set is shown in the last week or so before release.

When does this calendar change?

It is rebuilt every day from Scryfall and republished only when something moves: a set is added, changes its date, gains revealed cards or comes out. A set moves to the recently released table on its release day and drops off it 90 days later.
